• Dr. Amina Arafat Shima obtained MBBS under the University of Dhaka. She began her medical career as a Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology at Ad-Din Women's Medical College Hospital, where she actively contributed to undergraduate medical education and academic activities.
• She subsequently completed one year of postgraduate clinical training in Dermatology & Venereology at Dhaka Medical College Hospital(DMC), where she gained comprehensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of skin, hair, nail, and sexually transmitted diseases.
• She has pursued advanced academic training through an MSc in Clinical Dermatology from India, reflecting her commitment to integrating international standards with evidence-based patient care.
• Dr. Shima served as a Consultant Physician in healthcare initiatives with Square Group and Unilever Bangladesh, providing clinical services and participating in community-based health programs.
• She later joined Skinologic Laser & Aesthetic Centre as an Aesthetic Consultant, where she worked extensively in both Clinical Dermatology and Aesthetic Dermatology. During this period, she developed expertise in managing dermatological diseases and performing advanced aesthetic procedures, including laser therapies, injectables, regenerative medicine, anti-aging treatments, hair restoration, and facial rejuvenation.
• Dr. Shima regularly participates in national and international scientific conferences, workshops, and professional training programs to remain updated with the latest developments in dermatology, laser medicine, aesthetic procedures, regenerative therapies, and sexual medicine. Her practice is centered on evidence-based medicine, patient safety, ethical care, and the achievement of natural, harmonious, and long-lasting clinical outcomes. 
• Nelson Mandela Star Award 2026- In recognition of outstanding contributions to Clinical Medicine, Aesthetic Dermatology, Laser Medicine, and Patient Care.
• She made significant academic contributions as a Co-author to the research publication titled "Detection of Nocardia from Chronic Skin and Lung Infections in Bangladeshi Patients," published in the American Journal of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology (Volume 5, Issue 2, May 10, 2017).
