• Dr. Ramen Chandra Basak got his MBBS degree from Dhaka Medical College and subsequently did his MD in Endocrinology and Metabolism from BIRDEM Hospital.

• He worked at BIRDEM Hospital for 10 years and at King Khalid General Hospital, Saudi Arabia for 17 years.

• Dr. Ramen has completed his Diabetic Diploma from Cardiff University and MRCP (SCE). Endocrinology and Diabetes from UK.

• He is qualified for Saudi Council for Health Specialties in Endocrinology and did rotating fellowship in King Faisal Special Hospital, Riyadh.

• Dr. Ramen has more than 30 years of experience and worked in different Government & Corporate Hospitals that brought him wide exposure in Diabetes & Endocrinology.

• His field of interest includes:

-  Growth Disorders & Obesity Management
-  Thyroid & Parathyroid Disorder
-  Pituitary Diseases & Adrenal Disorder
-  Reproductive Endocrinology

• Dr. Ramen has publications in Medical Journals and attended number of Seminars in home and abroad.

• Before joining Asgar Ali Hospital, he was at LABAID Specialized Hospital, Dhaka.

• Presently, Dr. Ramen Chandra Basak is at Asgar Ali Hospital and serving patients as Senior Consultant - Diabetes & Endocrinology.
