• He obtained his MBBS degree from Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) and later earned his MS in General Surgery from BMU (Ex. BSMMU).
• Prof. Dr. Setabur began his medical career as a Medical Officer and served in various medical colleges and hospitals across Bangladesh. 
• He later joined the National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital (NICRH), where he was progressively promoted to Assistant Professor cum Residential Surgeon (RS), Associate Professor & Head of Department, and ultimately Professor & Head, Department of Surgical Oncology.

• With over 25 years of surgical and academic experience, Prof. Dr. Setabur Rahman has expertise in advanced laparoscopic surgery.
